Travis Kelce on Chiefs dynasty: ‘We’ve got the formula’

Forget all this extra talk of dynasties. Travis Kelce bragged this week that he and his Chiefs teammates have something more important. They know the formula for winning Super Bowls.

Kelce and his brother, Jason Kelce, did their New Heights podcast post-Super Bowl, releasing it Wednesday. And among the many topics they covered was one about the Chiefs’ formula. It didn’t sound scientific or like something concrete other teams could copy. Rather, it mostly sounded like each teammate has love and respect for each other.

“We got something special, man, and we got the formula, baby,” Travis Kelce said. “We know exactly what we need to do and how to do it. And I know next year’s team won’t be the same, as every year is different. You know whether the main guys or there or what I call glue guys, the guys that don’t get as much publicity or get … as many people talking about them, when you know new guys come in. And sure enough, man, we got the formula.

“Coach (Andy) Reid has the leadership role of making sure this thing just runs so f*****g smooth. And everybody gets in line … This year, it took all the way until the end of the season … Those last four weeks of the season to really find it and mold this thing together. But we became a team with grit and grind and just love for the ones next to us and passionate for the ones next to us. And sure enough, man it was a beautiful year, man, a fun journey.”
