Former President Barack Obama Rushed to Hospital After Freak Golf Course Mishap

Former U.S. President Barack Obama was rushed to a nearby hospital earlier today after an unexpected accident on the golf course, sources say. The 44th president, known for his love of the sport, was enjoying a round at a private course in Hawaii when the incident occurred.
According to witnesses, Obama was lining up a perfect shot on the 14th hole when an errant golf cart, reportedly driven by a Secret Service agent attempting a sharp turn, lost control and veered onto the green. The former president attempted to sidestep the incoming vehicle but stumbled over a misplaced club and tumbled into a sand trap.
“He was in good spirits, even while getting checked by paramedics,” said a course official. “He joked that it was the worst bunker he’d been stuck in since Congress blocked his healthcare bill.”
Medical professionals confirmed that Obama suffered a mild ankle sprain and a few scrapes but is expected to make a full recovery. Michelle Obama reportedly rushed to the hospital but was relieved to find her husband already making wisecracks with the nurses.
“He’ll be fine,” said a spokesperson for the Obama family. “Though he did request some ice—both for his ankle and his drink.”
The former president has since been discharged and is expected to continue his post-presidency activities, albeit with a temporary limp and a new story to tell on the golf course.
