With Super Bowl LVIII arriving and featuring two hugely popular teams, the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers, cash will be free-flowing all across the nation on Sunday.
Record 68 million Americans to bet on Chiefs-49ers Super Bowl
According to a survey and report by the American Gaming Association, 67.8 million Americans are expected to bet on the Super Bowl. That’s over a quarter of the country’s population.
The expected amount of money wagered: $23.1 billion. The numbers are staggering, especially when you consider that last year’s Super Bowl had set a record with 50.4 million expected bettors and $16 billion wagered.
If you watch sports, none of this will surprise you. Ads from sports betting and daily fantasy companies are always present.
Recently, LeBron James announced a partnership with DraftKings. Esteemed NBA reporter Shams Charania is a partner with FanDuel.
Many sports fans are concerned with the synchronicity, but it’s only going to become more pronounced as the money continues pouring in.
