During a recent interview with Max’s Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace, Melissa Etheridge expressed her admiration for the relationship between Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce. Etheridge, a fan of both Swift and Kelce, jokingly expressed her concern that Kelce might retire early from football to be with Swift.

She mentioned: “All those guys are way too professional, as she is, to let anything be a distraction.” Etheridge also shared her thoughts on the cultural impact of their relationship, stating: “It’s attractive to see two individuals with cultural power come together. I think it’s fantastic. I love it.”

Kelce, however, made it clear during a recent interview on The Pat McAfee Show that his main focus is the upcoming Super Bowl LVIII match against the San Francisco 49ers. He expressed his regret at not being able to attend the 2024 Grammy Awards with Swift due to his commitment to the big game.

Kelce mentioned: “I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys, and watch her win every single award that she’s nominated for. But I think I’ve got practice on Sunday,” highlighting the dedication and focus required for the upcoming Super Bowl.

Fans had speculated about the possibility of Kelce attending the Grammys with Swift after she supported him at the Chiefs’ AFC Championship win in Baltimore on Jan. 28. Their public display of support for each other during the game, including sharing kisses and Kelce expressing his love for Swift, had set the internet abuzz.

“I’m just worried he’s gonna retire early to be with her,” joked Etheridge. But it’s clear that both are dedicated to their respective priorities. The lighthearted banter and genuine admiration for each other’s careers and relationships create an endearing dynamic between Etheridge, Kelce, and Swift.
