Is Kadarius Toney’s NFL future in jeopardy after Chiefs WR accuses team of hiding the truth?

Kadarius Toney shocked NFL fans following an IG live tirade in which he seemingly accuses the Kansas City Chiefs of lying in regards to his status ahead of the AFC Championship game. The wide receiver, who has been in the limelight for mostly negative reasons throughout the 2023 NFL season, may have just sealed his fate with the Chiefs and the rest of the league’s franchises.

Toney, who will not be suiting up today, was deemed a no-go due to an oblique injury and “personal reasons”, though he was a limited participant in Thursday and Friday’s practices. Now, in what seems like an impulsive act, the wide receiver took to social media to make a profanity-laced live video.

“I don’t give a f***!” Toney said on Sunday via IG live. “All these p**** n****** … B**** a** n******* Y’all readin’ all this half-a** s***. … I don’t f*** with y’all … I’m not hurt, none of that. Hip, knee, nuh-uh.”

“Suck my d**k. I’m in a body cast at this point, huh?”, he continued. “Your information ain’t sh*t”, he said seemingly pointing the finger at Kansas City.

Toney’s short but injury-plagued career allowed him to show several flashes of potential with the New York Giants and even a key play in last year’s Super Bowl LVII to help the Chiefs win. This season, however, he has had more lows than highs, including an offensive offsides call and a drop-filled performance that arguably cost Kansas City two losses.

In 2013 he played 13 regular season games, scoring 1 TD and 169 yards on 27 receptions. His mediocre season, along with his latest outburst could prompt his release and even cost him a chance elsewhere in the leage.
