Travis Kelce, the star tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, has been open about his contemplation of retirement, citing injuries and the toll of the game.
Although rumors have circulated about his potential departure, Kelce has not announced any immediate plans to leave the team. At 34, he’s still actively contributing to the Chiefs and under contract through 2025, which aligns with his expressed desire to play as long as he’s able.
Kelce has alluded to future opportunities outside of football, including his successful podcast with his brother, but he emphasized his love for the game and dedication to the Chiefs.
His recent comments suggest he plans to stay on the field for now, dispelling rumors of a “tearful farewell” before the upcoming game against the Raiders.
