Singers Selena Gomez and Taylor Swift are totally lifelong besties and support all of each other’s projects. But the Wizards of Waverly Place star recently had to take to social media to prove her loyalty to the “Lover” songstress.

As fans may know, the 29-year-old often makes headlines for her public, ongoing feud with Kim Kardashian, so it came as a shock to both Selenators and Swifties when Selena posted a mirror selfie on Monday, October 28 wearing a black bodysuit and praising the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star’s recently released Skims shapewear line on her Instagram Stories.

Kardashian made headlines last summer after she shared recordings of phone conversations between her husband Kanye West and Taylor Swift via Snapchat. In these recordings, you can hear Taylor (or someone who sounds a lot like her) audibly acknowledge Kanye using her name in his new song, “Famous,” and even calling it a compliment.

Taylor’s team previously denied being briefed on the line that features her name, and after Kanye played the song at his Madison Square Garden show, she wrote on her Instagram that she “was never given the full story or played any part of the song.”.
