Given Swift’s upcoming shows in São Paulo start Friday, the singer seemingly decided to stay in Brazil for the entire week rather than fly home for just a few days. Her private jet landed in São Paulo on Tuesday afternoon after departing the seaside city earlier that morning.

The decision came one day after an insider told Page Six that Swift would be making a last-minute decision about whether she was up for the long travel days. “The Brazil concerts … She is devastated about a fan dying,” they said. “The weather is extreme. It’s a mess she didn’t expect. It’s been a traumatic experience. It’s been a lot. She is going to decide today.”

Swift has been overcome with grief following 23-year-old Ana Clara Benevides’ death, who died on Friday night after going into cardiac arrest due to the extreme heat before the concert. The heat index had reached a record-breaking 139 degrees Fahrenheit.

Swift handed out water to fans during the show and later took to her Instagram Story to address the tragedy. “I can’t believe I’m writing these words but it is with a shattered heart that I say we lost a fan earlier tonight before my show. I can’t even tell you how devastated I am by this,” Swift wrote.

Although the “Cruel Summer” singer is “completely beside herself” over the loss, she is still planning to perform this weekend. Swift has reportedly been leaning on Kelce and the rest of her family while trying to cope with the heartbreaking situation. “She is so grateful she’s had Travis,” a source told Us Weekly Tuesday. “He’s been a huge support system for her right now. Her family has been there, but it’s different to have a boyfriend to lean on.”
