Prince Archie’s 4th Birthday Plans Revealed As prince Harry and Meghan Markle celebrate:

Meghan Markle will have a “low-key party at home” to celebrate her son’s birthday.

Prince Archie’s fourth birthday falls on the same day as his grandfather King Charles’s coronation. So while his dad Prince Harry will be in attendance at the coronation, Archie’s mom Meghan Markle will be at home in California with her son on his birthday.

“It’s going to be a low-key party at home,” a source tells People of Archie’s upcoming birthday. “They’ll have friends around them and Meghan’s mom, Doria [Ragland]. Meghan will definitely have support that weekend.” Prince Archie’s little sister, Princess Lilibet, will also be around to celebrate with her big brother.

To mark Archie’s first birthday, Meghan and Harry had a low-key affair—and shared a photo very belatedly in their Harry & Meghan Netflix series. In the snap, you can see a baby Archie in a birthday hat with confetti, as his grandma Doria stands behind him. In the foreground is a birthday cake with a gold 1 sticking out of it:

Archie, though he was born in London, has celebrated all his birthdays in California; the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made their move to California in early 2020, when he was just 6 months old.

“I have two kids of my own, making sure that I smother them with love and affection,” Prince Harry said last month in a conversation about his memoir Spare. He joked that doesn’t “smother them to the point that they’re trying to get away.”

He continued, “I as a father feel a huge responsibility to ensure that I don’t pass on any traumas or negative experiences I’ve had. And that’s work, that’s putting in the work, and daily, being conscious of my behavior, of my reactions to both of my kids.”
